And other famous restaurants in Paris - Le Taxi Jaune, Le Verre Vole and Septime - offered horse carpaccio, i.e. an appetizer made of raw meat plus hamburgers with horse meat and quail egg, as well as steaks made of horse meat. Whereas at Septime restaurant you could try raw horsemeat served with wild strawberries and tarragon cream.
Demand is also growing rapidly in Indonesia. There they have long made horse meat into sauté, a charcoal-grilled kebab that they skewer on wooden spits. Germans have also taken a liking to the meat, and Sauerbraten roast, which has been made only from horse meat since ancient times, is gaining popularity. In Belgium, horse meat is the main dietary dish. And in Japan, horse meat is loved raw or dried. Another example, in Scotland they started to make burgers from horse meat, and they quickly gained popularity.
In general, the demand for horsemeat is gradually increasing in the world. China and Mexico are the leaders in horse meat production, but Kazakh horses are clearly the leaders in terms of taste.
