By a decree of the Head of State, Yerbol Shyrakpayevich Karashukeyev has been relieved of the post of Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, World of NAN reports with reference to Akorda.
Aydarbek Saparov, who served as Vice-Minister of Agriculture from 2019 to 2022 and then was appointed Akim of the North Kazakhstan region, was assigned as the new Minister of Agriculture.
To recall, Karashukeyev came to the post of Minister during the terrible drought in the country, and he was tasked to carry out a number of reforms in the system of agricultural subsidies.
This year, Yerbol Karashukeyev also received many complaints from farmers who were not satisfied with the new system of subsidy distribution.
People were also dissatisfied with the reduction of subsidies in livestock farming. Another stumbling block was the locusts, which destroyed part of the crop. In general, farmers were extremely dissatisfied with the activities of the Minister of Agriculture.
