The draft amendments to the rules of subsidizing the agricultural sector were discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of structural subdivisions of departments and representatives of the regional akimat. The conference call was held by the First Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aidarbek Saparov.
During the meeting, Aidarbek Saparov noted that the changes to the subsidization rules would be made on the basis of amendments and additions to the Government's "AIC Development Program for 2017-2021" approved by the Government for the modernization of the industry.
“Amendments to the rules of subsidies are introduced to implement the five tasks that are assigned to the industry by Elbasy and the Head of State. We are required to increase labor productivity in agriculture, reduce import dependence, increase the share of processed products, increase its exports and the volume of attracted investments”, A. Saparov said.
Based on the discussion of future changes, the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture asked representatives of local executive bodies and rural entrepreneurs to disclose and submit their observations to the Ministry.
Then, after consideration of the proposals received, the amended draft rules will be discussed with all industry associations of farmers at the Atameken NCE.
